How do I know if my employer is complying with minimum wage laws?

The first thing to do to determine whether your employer is paying you properly under the minimum wage laws is to divide the number of hours that you work in a given week by the amount of money that your employer paid you, and if your employer paid you less than 8.25 dollars an hour, then your employer would have violated the law. If you don’t know exactly what that amount is, call a lawyer and find out.
