How do I know if I have an age discrimination claim?

Age discrimination in employment can take many different forms. Employees who are over the age of 40 are protected by Federal Anti Employment Discrimination Statutes. Sometimes, age discrimination can be very blatant, such as telling somebody that they’re too old to do their job or being forced to retire or to resign. But most cases, it’s much more subtle. Sometimes, it could be a certain comments that are made, if you’re a called an old timer or a dinosaur. And in many cases, it’s such things as been excluded from decision making, or being excluded from meetings that you otherwise should be attended, or have been passed by for job opportunities that are then awarded to younger workers.
