If I am pregnant, can I be fired if I had a weak or poor employment review?

While pregnancy is considered to be a protected characteristic under federal employment discrimination laws, it is important to understand that merely getting pregnant does not protect you from being fired. So, if you legitimately have employment performance issues, then yes you can be fired even if you’re pregnant, pregnancy cannot be used as a reason for terminating you, but a pregnant employee can certainly be terminated if she has employment issues.
